as a former dancer, Melissa has always been physically active. But in 2004, when she stepped on the mat, yoga began to fill her life. Intrigued by her newfound passion, she pursued certification through Kanyakumari Milwaukee, Strala New York and Laughing Lotus Nationwide. In 2010, Melissa opened YOGArithm Studios with the intent of providing a more comfortable and unique style of teaching in Kenosha, WI.
In Melissa's classes you can sense and feel the energy she brings to the practice. You should expect to be inspired, physically challenged and encouraged to find some playfulness in your practice!
Melissa is an E-RYT500 with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
Angela discovered her love for yoga in 2004 after lower lumbar spinal surgery. Not only did her practice allow her to regain full mobility, she also found a new sense of peace. Naturally it made sense to merge her love for yoga with her existing career as a Spa/Wellness Educator. Angela obtained her RYT200 certification through the Aveda Institute of Beauty and Wellness facilitated by Shayne Broadwell Milwaukee, WI.
Angela's instruction will lend itself centering meditation and creative flowing movement while encouraging students to find intention, breath and their own expressions of each pose.
Heather is a Youth Services Librarian by trade, so she is invested in giving kids the tools they need to be successful in life. Through teaching yoga, she has seen firsthand the positive effects that movement, mindfulness, and meditation can have on children’s confidence, concentration, and ability to handle stress. Taught in the Kidding Around Yoga style, Heather’s classes for children are packed with high energy yoga songs, fun activities, laughter, guided meditation, and more. All proceeds from YOGArithm's classes for youngsters solely benefit Kenosha's Safe Harbor Humane Society.
Please see our EVENTS page for more information. Classes are held quarterly.
